Our Beautiful Baby Girls --- Adrienne & Jilly Bear.
We have rescued 4 dalmatians and the one that truly touched our heart the most was our little girl and complete princess Adrienne. She passed away on March 25, 2009 and we miss her terribly. She was a sweet affectionate baby girl that would demand your attention and was the Queen of Everything...
She had a lot of heart problems and we thought since she was such a stubborn ol' dog she would live forever. She collapsed outside one day, we went to the vet and he thought she had a stroke and needed to see a specialist. We were torn about what to do for her...take to an animal hospital and leave her hooked up to machines for the last few hours or days of her life or let her stay with her Mommy & Daddy. We decided to keep her home and it was apparent she no longer had any more fight left in her and more than likely would not make it through the night.
We spent a lot of time with her during the last few hours and then once we finally fell asleep she passed away in her sleep. The vet said that he was 100% positive that she had a stroke that was caused by an aneurysm or blood clot due to all her heart related issues. We had 7 more years than her first prognosis at 6 that we would be lucky to get her for another 1 - 2 years. She showed them.
Her look at me spirit and "I AM THE PRINCESS" attitude deeply touched our hearts. What we miss the most is the vocal and demanding followed by the kisses. Its too bad our babies can't live as long as we do...
Her passing come just 4 months after the loss of our silly Jilly Bear. She was so sweet and loving. The typical dalmatian and always on the go...We miss her very much. She was our billy goat and could eat anything and survive. The only health problem she ever had was when she was diagnosed with a bladder infection that would not go away. This ended up being cancer. We had to make the heart wrenching decision to let her go when she could no longer walk due to the cancer moving to her spine and other organs. She will always be missed and she was definitely a Daddy's Girl.
