Welcome to PawsitivelyTexas.com! Our mission is to network Texas Pet Lovers & Animal Rescue Groups for the greater welfare of animals through public awareness and education. We're really glad you've joined us in our efforts, but actually, we created this network with the intent to help others already involved in this important cause! By joining our network, we ask that you read and accept our Terms and Conditions in order to help us maintain a site with a laser-sharp focus and not get distracted by some of the common issues that plague online communities and discussion forums.

Basic Terms: Play nice and keep this a family-friendly environment!
Members should be respectful of others, and agree to disagree when differences arise. We all share a love for animals and a desire to see them treated more humanely, so let's keep our focus there. Any members who posts offensive, harassing, nude, lewd/pornographic, and/or illegal content, or link to other sites that contain content fitting that description will have their accounts deleted and be banned from the network. Please take us seriously on this.

Your Safety and Privacy:
PawsitivelyTexas.com is a public internet site; this means that anyone in the world with an internet connection has the ability to view the content on our network. We suggest you do not post any personal information such as full name, phone number, address, or email address. When a member contacts you through PawsitivelyTexas.com, they do so through our network and a personal email address is not required.

Please use caution in exchanging personal information, communicating, and meeting others. It is our hope that all members have honorable intentions, but truly, we have no way of policing that and can not guarantee the integrity of anyone who joins the network. Again, please exercise caution in regards to your personal safety and privacy as we can not be responsible.

Competing Social Networks:
Please do not promote other pet-related social networks.

Advertising:
Advertising is restricted to the Classified section (free) and includes six categories: Pet Rehoming, Looking to Adopt, Lost Pets, Rescue & Shelter Needs, Events, and Pet Services. Pet rehoming is for individuals and rescue groups looking to help find a forever home for a pet. We appreciate the work of responsible Breeders, however, we wish this site to be free from Breeders' posts as we seek to find homes for pets that have been lost or abandoned vs. pets that were planned for profit. Thank you for understanding and respecting our Terms. Ideally, a pet rehome fee will be much lower if a pet is not up-to-date on their shots and/or have not yet been spayed or neutered. Most Rescue group fees are very reasonable based on if they are current on their shots, have been spayed/neutered/ micro-chipped, and vetted.

We limit our business advertising to the small independent businessperson such as pet walkers/sitters, poop-scoopers, service training, etc. as we seek to support them in independent self-employment. We ask all other businesses to honor this and to contact the Network Admin if you wish to promote your products or services to our community as we can use your support to fund our efforts at PawsitivelyTexas.com.

Spamming:
We do not tolerate any posting, transmitting or distribution of any unsolicited advertising or promotional materials to other member profile page, email groups, or forum discussions. This includes the promotion of yourself by sending the same message by email, or broadcasting messages to groups of which you are a member.

Site Content:

All content on our site is protected by US Copyright, unless otherwise noted. We offer free graphics and downloads, which can be found under the FREE tab at the top of the page. All other content requires permission before it can be shared on other networks. We reserve the right to use any photographs posted by members in Photo Albums to place on our site, as well as other websites, networks, blogs, etc. in promotion of our network. By posting on our site, you agree that you own the rights to the content and assign us the right to use for promotional purposes of our network.

Help us make a pawsitive change!

It is our deepest wish that PawsitivelyTexas.com serve as a network that unites the efforts of animal lovers, rescue groups, veterinarians, and other pet care providers across the state of Texas, and together, as a grassroots coalition, we drive a pawsitive change for the lives of the animals we all love so much!

We ask that you honor our Site Usage Terms, but also, that you help us by joining our Street Team and helping us grow our network by inviting others to join us here. It requires little time or money, but your efforts in helping us will be greatly appreciated and priceless in value as we support others in this shared vision and cause!

Protecting the integrity of our network:

We ask that if you see members violating the Terms of our site, that you notify us. Please know that we don't want to ban any members, but reserve the right to do so for any who choose to ignore and/or violate our Terms in protection of our network. Let's have a good time, and mobilize our efforts for pawsitive change!
